Today I was off the program again. If I deviate from my Medifast structure, I try really hard to keep my calories in check. I figure following medifast will help me lose weight much faster but when it boils down to it, the simple science of calories consumed being less than calories burned will keep me losing even if it's at a slower rate. So, yes, I want to continue following the program but when the situation doesn't permit because of being tired or not having gone to the store to have the supplies I need, I will restrict calories to stay losing.
1 Coffee and Medifast Bar
Handful of pistachios in the shell and one baby bell cheese
Footlong (yeah, portion control out the window) Steak Subway Sandwich-I was feeling really tired and weak today so Steve got us dinner
Largish bowl of Honey Bunches of Oats cereal
My guess is that this was all about 1850 calories. Not very good for losing but not going to gain. For a person of my weight, even being at a sedentary lifestyle, burns 1950-2000 calories per day. Any activity added that is not sitting on my butt is more than that. I'm going to do better today. Tomorrow I'm making a St. Patty's day meal so it won't exactly be diety but I don't think it will be horrible. The corned beef and cabbage is good but I'm going to make shepherd's pie which has mashed potatoes and cheese. I will eat responsible portions of that and focus on meat and veg.
