Had a pretty good day with a tiny cheat. Tomorrow I'm going to have sushi with my dad so I'll be having another little cheat but cheating with Sushi really doesn't seem all that bad but it's definitely not in the program.
1 Medifast bar and coffee w/ Coffee Mate
1 medifast honey mustard pretzel sticks and diet soda
1 handful of pistachios and sunflower seeds and diet soda
1 Medifast bar and diet soda
A good amount of chicken tenderloins cooked in just a little olive oil, broccoli and brussel sprouts, small cup of my vegetable/lentil soup
Took kids to the movies had about 10 skittles and about 6 handfuls of popcorn.
Water you ask? Horrible! Why did I drink 3 diet sodas?! I'm going to drink a huge glass right now!
Annette, have you tried flavored water? When I was trying to drink more water, I would squeeze half an orange into my water --it gave it flavor and I drank more. Now I just drink water for the sake of it, but it did help. Or drink tea :)
ReplyDeleteI also read an article recently that said that our bodies still react to artificial sweeteners the same as sugar, something to the effect that you crave more sugar and that people that drink diet soda actually gain weight--the theory is that they gain weight because soda actually makes you want to eat more. I know that when I gave up soda for good, even diet, I lost 15 pounds off the bat and that was the only dietary change that I made. -Amber
